While some say it’s a Halloween movie while others argue it’s a Christmas movie, Tim Burton Nightmare Before Christmas It earned a cult following for being relevant for several seasons of the year, with an upcoming event in London that sees original singer Jack Skellington sings Danny Elfman live alongside the film, with the two-night event hiring musician Phoebe Bridgers to voice Sally, per consequence. Last year saw a similar event in Los Angeles, despite Billie Eilish voting for Sally. The show will take place on December 9-10 at The SSE Arena, Wembley.

This one-of-a-kind live production at the Christmas Film Festival 2022 features Danny Elfman (original singing voice of the film’s main character, Jack Skellington, and writer of all the film’s songs) performing live in sync with the full movie on the big screen, accompanied by The BBC Musical Orchestra and a few special guests.
“Nightmare Before Christmas Standing cult classics from the legendary film-making duo of director Tim Burton and composer Danny Elfman. First released in 1993, Nightmare Before Christmas Directed by Henry Selick (James and the giant peach) and was based on a story and characters designed by Tim Burton. Meticulously hand-shot in stop motion, the film took more than two years to produce – featuring 227 dolls and 20 different sets that Selick’s team of artists manipulated one frame at a time.
The film follows the serious but misguided adventures of Jack Skellington, the lovable Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, as he tries to take over the Christmas holidays. Against the advice of Sally, a lonely rag doll who has his feelings for him, Jack has recruited three mischievous trick-or-treaters — Lock, Shock, and Barrel – To help him kidnap Santa Claus.
Since its release, this beloved family film has become an international classic and a staple of the extended holiday season. This unique live production has been shown to sold-out audiences around the world, including the Hollywood Bowl, Barclays Center, Tokyo International Forum, and The SSE Arena in London, Wembley in 2019.”
For audiences in the US, Elfman will host two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles where he will perform a number of tracks from his esteemed career, including Nightmare Before ChristmasBeside BatmanAnd the Spider ManAnd the Beetlejuice. These concerts will take place on the 28th and 29th of October.
